L. Marcus Williams


L. Marcus Williams is an independent filmmaker, living in Pennsylvania with his wife and son. He is also a student of social work at Columbia University.


Born and raised in the suburbs of New York, he wrote and directed his first film, WRITTEN BY FRANKLIN MANN, in 2002. He followed that with SCOPOPHILIA in 2003, in which he also starred. He then moved to New York City and achieved modest success as a theatre director. In 2015, he enrolled into the film program at Brooklyn College, earning his degree three years later. His first two student films, THE MONSTER UNDER MY BED and NAIL-BITER, were released in 2017.

LIFELINE is his thesis film. It is inspired by his own experience as both a crisis hotline operator and a survivor of attempted suicide.

Katlin Leslie is a New York-based actor, originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan. She discovered a love for acting at the age of nine, when she was cast as 'The Child' in a production of Pirandello's SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR.

In 2009, she attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, where she received intensive training in film, theater, and stage combat. Since her graduation in 2011, she has been featured in several theater festivals throughout Manhattan, including The Short Play Lab and Strike 38.

Dan Parilis, "Ray"

Dan Parilis is an actor, filmmaker, musician, and lifelong resident in the New York City area. He is also a career vocal instructor with his own teaching and recording studio in Brooklyn.

His film debut was in 2002's WRITTEN BY FRANKLIN MANN, also directed by L. Marcus Williams. Since then, he has appeared in several independent films, including PICNIC TABLE, MARMALADE, and THE BURNINGMOORE INCIDENT, a "found footage" horror film for which he was also the camera operator. In 2012, he produced the silent comedy OH, HOW THE TIMES HAVE CHANGED!, and wrote, directed, and starred in the feature-length drama THEMES & INTERMISSIONS.

LIFELINE is his second film with A Fly on the 4th Wall, having produced NAIL-BITER in 2017.

Sung Rae Cho is a professional cinematographer based in New York City. He was born in Kyoto, Japan, and is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild.

He has shot many award-winning, independent films, including THE OTHER AMERICA, GRACELAND, and THE TRANSFIGURATION. In 2017, he worked with cinematographer Rachel Morrison as a camera operator on MUDBOUND, for which Morrison received an Academy Award nomination. He has also been a camera operator on several network television shows, including THE AMERICANSMASTER OF NONE, and JACK RYAN.
